Hello! We purchased a Cremona SV-175 1/4 for my daughter. She has now grown, and we are again looking for a new fiddle. I have started with you, since we were very happy with the previous purchase. We are looking at a 1/2 size in the following. Cremona SV-175. Cremona SV-200. Scotti SYV-150. Here are my questions: --Can you set these up as fiddle instead of violin with regards to strings, bridges, etc? I think that the strings on the Scotti are acceptable fiddle strings! --My daughter loves the case that comes with the SV-175. Can the case on the Scotti be switched? She likes to be able to carry her music in the case, have the shoulder strap and the backpack straps. --Which is better, the SV-200 or the SYV-150? We are not quite up to purchasing a more expensive Scott Cao, but thought that the Scotti might be a good fiddle. Thanks!
We can setup any of our violins as fiddles. We do this free of charge.
If a player has a favorite set of fiddle strings, we can also install these during the setup (this may cost extra depending on the strings).
We are able to upgrade cases. There are quite a few oblong cases that are similar to what the SV-175 comes with. These would be an additional cost depending on the case chosen.
The Scotti makes an excellent fiddle and would be my choice out of these instruments. We have sold quite a few of these setup for fiddling and customers have been pleased.
Anyone interested in having one of our violins setup as a fiddle, just let us know. The same goes for string, case, or bow upgrades. Send an email with what you would like and we will get you a quote.
